Good morning! Keeping a careful eye on Storm Track 8 StormTracker this morning, along with temperatures. Light precipitation is falling over the northern third of central Indiana – with many surface temperatures in those areas below freezing.
Road temperatures around the metro are fine – above freezing for now. Up north, road temperatures are below freezing, which could lead to some light icing – especially on untreated surfaces, along with bridges and overpasses.
Expect on and off light precipitation for much of the morning. I-70 will likely be the line that separates the threat for freezing rain the north, and just rain to the south.
Temperatures will hold relatively steady today, in the upper 20s and lower 30s. Much of the afternoon should be relatively quiet, with the exception of a few light snow showers from time to time up north.
