Freezing rain moves out

After a very icy start for much of central Indiana, the threat for icy conditions should move out as we head into the afternoon.

Storm Track 8 FutureCast shows precipitation out of central Indiana by Noon, with mostly cloudy conditions for much of the afternoon.

That said, temperatures will likely hold steady – below freezing for most.  If you have experienced icy pavement through this morning, there is a good chance it will remain icy through the afternoon if it goes untreated,  as we won’t get above freezing.  But at least we won’t be adding any more ice to the mix for the rest of the day.

Highs top out around 30° for most.  Although clouds should diminish a bit later today – I think we’ll be hard pressed to see much if any sunshine before we head into the evening hours.
