Elizabeth Choi joined the 24-Hour News 8 team in 2015 and is excited to work her dream job in her home state. A native Hoosier, Elizabeth grew up in Brown County, graduated from Ball State University and now makes Greenwood her home.
From an early age, Elizabeth knew she wanted to be a journalist. During play time, Elizabeth would conduct interviews using an old VHS camcorder and her younger sister as the interviewee.
Elizabeth began her career in Zanesville, Ohio at WHIZ. She has also worked for WTVG in Toledo, Ohio. Elizabeth is the recipient of several awards from the Ohio Associated Press including Best Anchor, Best Reporter and Best Broadcast Writing.
When not working, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her BIG family; she has six sisters and one brother and plenty of nieces and nephews to keep her busy! Elizabeth also likes listening to music (loudly) and attending church on Sundays. Believing it’s important to affect change in the community that has been so generous to her, Elizabeth enjoys mentoring under-served children, in hopes of helping them overcome adversity.
