Howard Monroe

Howard Monroe joined WISH-TV in June 2014. Before landing in Indianapolis, he worked as an anchor and reporter for WMBC-TV in New Jersey.

Howard is originally from northern New Jersey, and he considers himself one of the lucky ones to get his start in television while surrounded by family and friends.

While in New Jersey, he covered events ranging from Hurricane Sandy and its aftermath, to the political storm surrounding Governor Chris Christie.

Prior to working in front of the camera, Howard was a Production Assistant for NBC 30 in West Hartford, CT.

Howard is a graduate of Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT, with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Mass Communications and a Master’s of Science in Journalism.

More so than anything, Howard considers himself a storyteller, and he’s honored to now be telling YOUR stories.

Howard’s free time is spent doing activities that counteract each other: he enjoys going to the gym and running, as well as cooking and baking. His friends and family say he bakes the best Flourless Chocolate Cake and Strawberry Shortcake around!
