Nick Natario joined WISH-TV as a multi-media journalist in July 2015. Nick comes from Savannah, Georgia’s WJCL, but, as a New England native, he’s not a stranger to cold weather.
Nick began his career in Elmira, New York, at WETM. After two years, before taking a reporting job at WFFF in Burlington, Vermont. It was there, Nick received a New York Associated Press Award for his work on exposing New York’s DWI loopholes. In 2013, Nick left the cold behind, for the sunny sands of Savannah.
Nick’s passion for news took shape in middle school as a part of his school news program, “Buzzes and Pops.” In high school, he worked for the Belchertown cable access channel. Nick is a 2008 graduate of Syracuse University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. While he loves reporting, Nick also pursued a career as a mascot, performing as Otto the Orange at Syracuse University, with the AAA baseball team, Syracuse Chiefs, and touring the country performing with the Raymond Entertainment Group.
Nick is a die-hard sports fan, bleeding Syracuse orange, however, one thing he has in common with most Hoosiers is his distaste for the New England Patriots. He is excited to be a part of the 24-Hour News 8 team, in the great Hoosier state, and can’t wait to experience the hospitality firsthand.
