Miss Singapore will wear a dress with photo of historic Trump-Kim handshake

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – Next month at the Miss Universe pageant, a beauty queen from Singapore will wear a dress that bears a huge digital photo of the historic handshake between President Donald Trump and North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un.

The image of the two world leaders shaking hands during their summit in Singapore will be featured over the Singapore skyline on the dress of Miss Singapore Zahra Khanum.

Khanum will wear the dress at next month’s 2018 Miss Universe pageant, according to Singapore’s The New Paper.

“My first impression of the costume was that it looked absolutely angelic and it truly did embody the essence of world peace,”  Khanum told the publication. “It had a very serene and calming effect.”

The gown, which is a royal blue color, signifies Khanum’s desire for world peace.

The Miss Universe competition is happening Dec. 17 in Bangkok, Thailand.
