Columbus pride festival draws crowd

COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) — The city’s first gay pride festival took place in Columbus on Saturday.

It all unfolded downtown and included a drag show, vendors and food.

High school senior Erin Bailey organized the event.

Bailey told us at first she didn’t think many would show up.

“I expected like 50 people to come maybe, so I think I did a little bit better than 50,” said Bailey.

The festival also featured an art show with information booths from the ACLU and Planned Parenthood.
