IMPD investigating three separate overnight shootings

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Officials are investigating three separate shootings across Indianapolis that all took place within an hour.

The first happened around 12:40 a.m. on Cork Bend Drive near the Marion County Fairgrounds.

Officials believe the shooting happened at someone’s 18th birthday party. Word had gotten out over Twitter about the party and people who were unknown to the host began to show up. Shots were later fired and the party’s host was grazed in the back by a bullet.

Investigators said that she is in good condition.

The second shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. when a man was shot multiple times in the area of Pershing and Michigan Road. 

Officials said that man is in critical condition.

The third shooting happened at another party near Monniger Drive near 34th Street and Georgetown Road when a young man was shot in the head.

He is said to be in “extremely critical” condition.

There has yet to be any suspect information released in any of the shootings.
