United Way launches winter assistance fund

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Bruttually cold temperatures have arrived in central Indiana.

For the past couple days, residents have experienced frigid conditions, which likely have heaters working overtime in homes.

That will likely lead to huge heating bill this winter.

The United Way just launched a program to help some Hoosiers afford those bills.

Mary Jones, the community impact director with the United Way, stopped by Daybreak Tuesday to discuss the program, how to apply and who is eligible.
