Wintry weather arrives in central Indiana
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Many in central Indiana were greeted by snow and sleet as they began their day Wednesday morning.
The wintry weather made its arrival in the area during the overnight and early morning hours of Wednesday.

In preparation for the wintry weather, 80 crews from the Indianapolis Department of Public Works began salting the roads Tuesday evening.
News 8 crews were out monitoring the road conditions all over the Circle City.
Nina Criscuolo was on the city’s northwest side. Just after 6 a.m., she reported rain in the area but with slush on the roads and several inches of snow on the ground.
News 8’s Randall Newsome was monitoring the wintry weather and road conditions in the mobile news tracker. He was also seeing wet, slush-covered roads.
Katie Wisley was on the city’s south side Wednesday morning. She was also seeing on roads and sidewalks and also indicated that the freezing rain had ceased.
