The shooting happened shortly after 8 p.m. in the 3600 block of Chrysler Street.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrested two people at the scene.
Members of the group said they are tired of the violence that has been plaguing their neighborhood.

On Feb. 25 the officer witnessed the suspect pulling his hand from his coat and shot the suspect.
The situation ended near East 38th Street and Dubarry Road where the suspects were apprehended.
It happened in the 2100 block of North Arlington Avenue around 9:15 p.m.
According to investigators, Kristy Emery altered 58 claim forms between September 2012 and April 2013.
