CarmelFest gets underway

CARMEL,Ind. (WISH) – Festivities at the two-day event known as CarmelFest  got underway Saturday.

This year’s event has a little something for everyone, including a kids zone.

There is live music, plenty of food and a marketplace for those interested in picking up a thing or two.

For those brave enough to showcase their skills, an open mic stage is available.

Thousands lined the streets for the parade, which paid tribute to the 70th anniversary of the end of World War I. A group of veterans from the war served as grand marshals.
