Suspect involved in 2015 police action shooting scheduled for trial
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WISH) – A man police say was involved in a police action shooting in 2015 will go to trial in September.
Quintin Towles, Jr. faces seven felonies, including burglary and pointing a firearm.
It was on October 20, 2015 when police responded to a domestic disturbance on Cleveland Street in Terre Haute. A city officer shot Towles, Jr. three times.
That officer told investigators Towles, Jr. had a handgun aimed at him and ignored orders to show his hands. The Vigo County Prosecutor said the officer acted in self-defense.
That jury trial is set for September 19.
