POW/MIA Recognition Day ceremony at Indiana War Memorial
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A national POW/MIA Recognition Day happened Friday at the Indiana War Memorial in downtown Indianapolis.
The goal was to make sure America remembers to stand behind people who serve our nation and do everything possible to account for people who did not return.
Leaders said 1,700 Hoosier families have loved ones who are missing in action. Friday’s event honored those service members.
