Ingredients

  • 3 sticks butter

  • 3 cups sugar

  • 3 cups flour

  • 6 eggs

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 tsp lemon flavor extract

  • 1 tsp vanilla flavor extract

  • 1 tsp baking powder

Directions

  • Set oven to 325 degrees.
  • Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan.
  • Put the 6 eggs in a mixing bowl and beat the eggs by themselves in the bowl.
  • Then add the 3 sticks of butter and the 3 cups of sugar. Take an electric mixer and beat until it’s mixed really well.
  • Then put vanilla flavor and lemon flavor and the cup of sour cream in the same mixing bowl. Then mix very well.
  • Then sift together flour and baking powder… put in mixing bowl with other ingredients and mix until it’s really smooth.
  • Then pour batter into cake pan. Put pan in the oven for 70 minutes.
  • Take out of the oven and let it sit for 20 minutes. Then remove from pan and you are ready to serve the best pound cake ever!
