Pavel’s World: A look at the music and career of Steve Dokken

Steve Dokken is a bassist and Indy Jazz Hall of Fame inductee who has played with some of the biggest names in music. He spent 12 years playing for Henry Mancini and has recorded all the Frozen on Ice Disney tunes. These days, he plays with Pavel and Direct Contact, a Latin jazz group that combines traditional Latin rhythms with jazz improvisation.

He spends much of his time practicing and rehearsing with his various groups. He also teaches bass lessons and mentors young musicians.
