Community Health shares tips on how to talk to kids about tragedy
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – It’s hard enough for adults to deal with the passing of someone we know or love and for children it can be even harder.
In the wake of the bus crash that took the life of a beloved Lawrence school principal it could be much harder for kids to comprehend what happened and how to deal with their emotions.
Community Health officials stopped by the studio to talk about how we can help kids understand tragic events and move past them.
The first thing parents should know is how to address tragedy with their kids and what useful words you can use to help explain the circumstances.
