Allison Transmission awarded military contract

INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) — Indianapolis-based Allison Transmission has been awarded a contract for various work for the U.S. Army. The over $68 million contract covers new X1100 Abrams transmissions, transmission upgrades, sustainment kits and service support. 

Allison was the only bidder for the project, but it’s not yet known where the work will be done, which will be determined with each order. The estimated completion date of all the work is March 23, 2023.

U.S. Army Contracting Command, Detroit Arsenal, Michigan is the contracting activity.
