HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Three people were injured, one seriously, in a Hendricks County crash Sunday evening.

According to the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office, just after 11 p.m. deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash on County Road 1000 East, south of 56th Street.

An early investigation indicates that the 1957 Chevy wagon was headed southbound on County Road 10003 when, for an unexplained reason, went off the west side of the roadway and hit an utility pole.

The vehicle’s three occupants – the driver and two passengers – were injured in the crash.

Deputies said the driver, 34-year-old Dominick Lagana, suffered life-threatening injuries. The two passengers, 40-year-old Richard Crampton and 30-year-old Jacob Sanders, while injured, did not sustain life-threatening injuries.

Speed is thought to have played a role in the crash, according the department.
