Melanoma survivor talks importance of sun protection

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – An event this weekend is working to raise awareness about protecting yourself from the sun.

Out Run the Sun is hoping to help people understand the importance of protecting themselves from sun exposure at their annual race. They also support families of those touched by melanoma.

Melanoma survivor, David Stanley stopped by Daybreak on Friday morning to share his story, his new book and to talk about the upcoming race.

Stanley’s new book is titled “Melanoma: It Started with a freckle.” To hear more about his book watch the interview above.
