Nursing home damaged in small electrical fire
Fort Wayne, Ind. (WANE) – A Fort Wayne nursing home is damaged after a small fire Thursday morning.
Firefighters were called to Renaissance Village on West County Line Road, around 4:45 a.m. A small amount of smoke was coming from the building upon arrival, but no flames were visible.
Officials said a small electrical issue caused the fire and crews got it under control quickly, reported WISH-TV sister station WANE News.
Residents living in the smoke-filled area of the building were moved to another location, but remained inside. No injuries were reported.
Firefighters from Aboite, Arcola, Jefferson and Union Townships all responded to the fire.
