Police question 2 following search for suspects in chase to south-side apartment complex
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police are searching for three suspects following a chase that ended at an apartment complex on the city’s south side just before 4 a.m.
According to the Indiana State Police, the chase began following two separate armed robberies in the Columbus and Seymour areas. Police say the Seymour robbery occurred at a hotel, while the Columbus robbery happened at gas station. The chase ended just before 4 a.m. near the Berkley Commons Apartments on Madison Avenue between Stop 11 and County Line Road.
State Police say the chase is also related to an armed carjacking of a white Hummer H2 at Speedway gas stations around midnight.
On Thursday morning, police were questioning two people of interest on the city’s south side, Sgt. John Perrine, an Indiana State Police spokesman, told 24-hour News 8.
One of the suspects is described as a white male standing approximately 6′ tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt or jacket and a black face mask. The second suspect is said to be a black male between 5′ 7″ -5′ 9″ tall wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt or jacket and a black face mask. The third suspect is described as being between 5’5″ -5’7″ tall wearing all black with a knit hat with red and white stripes and with gloves that also have red stripes.
Police are asking that if you spot or recognize the suspects call 911.
