Spartans expect a battle on the court
MINNEAPOLIS (WLNS) – Chris Beard has molded his Texas Tech program around Michigan States in terms of toughness.
Defensively the Red Raiders are one of the best in the nation by limiting opponents to 55 points or less, 12 times this year.
On Saturday the Spartans are expecting a battle on the floor, “they sometimes play undersized but it doesn’t take away away from their toughness,” said Kenny Goins. “They are one of the scrappiest defensive teams we’ve ever seen. Duke and LSU were more athletic, but they weren’t physical.”
As its been all season long, a key for Michigan State to win this game is going to be limiting turnovers, something that Texas Tech does very well and they’ve had a lot of success in the NCAA tournament
“This is gonna be a fun and competitive game,” said Texas Tech sophmore guard Jarrett Culver. “It’s like a heavyweight fight, two big teams playing against each other.”
It’s going to be a war on the court this Saturday. The two biggest and toughest teams going head to head.
