Suspect steals money, destroys surveillance video in armed robbery
CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) – Police are searching for an armed robbery suspect after he robbed a gas station in Carmel late Wednesday night.
Police were called to the Marathon gas station on the corner of 96th Street and College Avenue around 11:30 Wednesday night.
Police describe the suspect as a black man with a mask and gloves on. He walked in the store with a handgun and got away with “an undisclosed amount of cash and other items,” according to police.
He trashed the office inside the store as well.
Police brought out a K-9 to try and track the suspect but couldn’t find him.
No one was injured in the robbery.
Police tried to get surveillance video from the incident but the suspect destroyed the DVR recording system during the robbery.
