Person shot, killed on east side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a deadly shooting on the city’s east side Friday night.

The shooting occurred in the 1100 block of North Ewing Street around 10:30 p.m.

When police arrived they found a man inside the home suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

Police say it’s unknown what led to the shooting. Detectives were interviewing a number of witnesses.
