Funeral escort officer hit by car

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – According to IMPD, a private security officer helping with a funeral procession was hit by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon.

Officials say the escorting officer suffered a broken shoulder in the accident, in which he was hit by a car while on his motorcycle.

The accident happened just before noon at the intersection of Spring Mill Road and Kessler Boulevard.

Police have not said what may have caused the accident.
