Dan Dakich partners with Quit Now Indiana
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Dan Dakich is helping Quit Now Indiana kick-off anti-tobacco campaign.
Dakich, a former Indiana University basketball player and captain under coach Bob Knight, coached college basketball and is a sports radio personality with ESPN.
He says he quit using smokeless tobacco and wants others to do the same.
Partnering with the campaign, Dakich wants Hoosiers to know the dangers of these kinds of tobaccos. Chewing tobacco, dip and snuff are considered smokeless tobaccos.
The “Through With Chew” campaign begin Feb. 16 and “The Great American Spit Out” begins Feb. 19.
