Red Gold Tip: Amped Up Queso

Linda Wallace from Red Gold shows how you can turn your basic Queso recipe into something amazing.AMPED UP QUESO

By adding various ingredients to the basic Queso recipe (find below) you can increase the flavor of your Queso.  Try these additions:

  • Queso Blanco cheese instead of regular cheese
  • Spinach
  • Meat – ground beef, turkey, chicken, sausage
  • Baby Shrimp
  • Bacon and Chilies
  • Jalapeno peppers and cilantro
  • Chili
  • Pineapple &Ham
  • Olives
  • Cream Cheese
  • Green Onion
  • Beans

WORLD’S BEST QUESO DIP

1 (10 ounce) can RED GOLD® DICED TOMATOES with GREEN CHILIES

1 pound (16 ounce) box pasteurized prepared cheese product, cubed

Microwave Method

In microwave safe bowl combine RED GOLD® DICED TOMATOES with GREEN CHILIES and cheese. Microwave on HIGH for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted; stir after 2 minutes; remove from oven and stir to combine.

Serving Suggestion: Serve with hot bread sticks, tortilla chips or assorted fresh vegetables.

Conventional Method

In large saucepan combine RED GOLD® DICED TOMATOES with GREEN CHILIES, and cheese. Stir over low heat until cheese melts.
