More charges in double homicide

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – More charges were filed in a double homicide in Kosciusko County.

Kyle Dehart, 22, now faces two preliminary counts of murder and one count of obstruction of justice.

Court documents said Dehart was there when Brandon Woody shot Tara Thornburg and Joshua Knisely in the head on February 19th. It started as a dispute over marijuana. Thornburg was able to call police and told them Woody shot her.

Woody was arrested later that day and pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder. Dehart was arrested then too on unrelated warrants. Prosecutors said they will release more information about Dehart’s new charges in the coming week.

Dehart’s mom, Joan Dehart, was also arrested and charged with assisting a criminal.
