Troy Williams to return for junior season

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) — Indiana Hoosiers forward Troy Williams took to Twitter and Instagram Wednesday evening to announce that he will return to Bloomington for his junior season. Indiana later confirmed the announcement.

After serving a four-game suspension for failing a preseason drug test, Williams was a regular starter for the Hoosiers throughout his sophomore year.

He averaged 13 points per game and led the team with 7.4 rebounds per contest.

Indiana still awaits a decision from Yogi Ferrell as to a return for his senior season, but if he joins Williams and recent verbal commit Thomas Bryant, the Hoosiers figure to be one of the favorites in next year’s Big Ten season.
