Fugitive wanted in two shootings is arrested
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man wanted in a pair of shootings has been arrested.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Akeem Gunn Tuesday on the west side of Indianapolis.
Gunn had been wanted for a June 30, 2014 shooting and robbery at a Wal-Mart in Beech Grove and a separate September 10, 2014 shooting.
Gunn allegedly shot a 29-year-old woman in the September 2014 incident.
Gunn was wanted for armed robbery, robbery with injury, aggravated battery, carjacking and possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.
Gunn’s brother, 31-year-old Ken Gunn, was also arrested for assisting a criminal.
