Ben Davis High School: Student brought gun to school

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – An Indianapolis high school student was arrested Friday after school officials realized he had a loaded gun in school.

Ben Davis High School officials did not name the student and also didn’t disclose his age.

School officials said a student alerted a school administrator to the student with the gun. A school resource officer contacted Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, and officers arrested the student.

The gun was never fired on school property, according to the school.

The school district left phone messages for parents of Ben Davis High School students.
