Electricians rescue six kittens from inside home’s wall

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Electricians made an unexpected discovery while on the job in Old Hickory, Tennessee: kittens stuck inside a wall.

“Don’t think I have had any run-ins with any sort of animals like that on the job before,” said Nathan Bass, an electrician with Elec Tech Electrical LLC.

Bass and a few others helped rescue a kitten stuck in a wall Tuesday. His co-worker pulled the kitten through a hole he cut in the wall as Bass filmed.

The group heard the kittens while working in a Donelson home on Clovernook Drive. The former occupants were charged with manufacturing meth in 2014.

“We’re just electricians. We’re not general contractors in there, but we’re like, ‘We got to get the kittens out,’” explained Bass.

According to the vet who is treating the kittens, it’s a good they were rescued because they were all malnourished and are being treated for infections.

“The little orange one, the smallest orange one, was the screamer of the bunch,” said Bass.

That is how the electricians knew the kitten, now named ‘Miracle,’ was stuck.

When they returned Wednesday, they heard another kitten crying.

“We didn’t want to have a third day, you know,” said Bass.

The electricians rescued six in all throughout the house. Now the kittens are with a foster family until they are ready to be adopted, WISH-TV’s sister station WKRN reports.

“All of us are animal lovers so we just wanted a good ending for the story,” said Bass.
