Police: Sleepy man drives car into pond
FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) – A man suffered a head injury after falling asleep while driving and ending up in a pond, 24-Hour News 8 news partner, the Daily Journal, reports.
The man, 19-year-old Tristan Becker, was southbound on State Road 144 when he drove into the pond around 6:30 a.m. Monday. It happened between Franklin and Bargersville, according to a Johnson County Sheriff’s Office report.
Water reached the bottom of the doors on the car.
Becker was taken to Community Hospital South.
