Colts offensive stars happy with first round draft pick

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Some Hoosiers may be still scratching their heads over the Colts drafting Phillip Dorsett with their number one pick, but there are some horseshoe fans celebrating the arrival of the speedy hurricane to Indianapolis.

“It’s not my job to pick players for the team,” said Colts quarterback Andrew Luck. “I’m just excited we got good players. Phillip’s gonna be a stud. Watching a couple of highlights, the guy runs like the wind, tracks the ball in the air and makes big plays. I had a chance to talk to him on the phone, sounds like a quality dude.”

“I went back down to Miami and trained this off-season,’ added free agent and wide receiver Andre Johnson. “He was there every day, working hard. He asked me a lot of questions and stuff like that. To see him drafted here is kinda crazy, but he’s a good guy, good kid, wants to learn and wants to get better.”

“Great help for the team, great asset (and) speed guy. Can’t wait to get him in and work with him,” said T.Y. Hilton.

A lot of people said he is a lot like Hilton because he is small and speedy, but Hilton has yet to see him play.

“I just know he’s fast,” said Hilton. “He gets in and out of his breaks real well, and once I get to teaching him, he’ll be a tremendous help.”

Dorsett and the rest of the rookie class will sample their first taste of the NFL when their three day rookie camp opens Friday.
