Police: 1 jailed after southwest side standoff

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One person is in jail after a standoff on the southwest side of Indianapolis.

Police say a tip led them to a building at the intersection of West Morris Street and South Tibbs Avenue Thursday night. They say someone saw a man carrying in what looked like marijuana plants.

When police arrived, they say they could smell raw marijuana. Police say the man barricaded himself inside the building, but he eventually surrendered.

Officers say they found marijuana plants inside the building.
