Police: Man arrested after meeting girl online
FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) – A man who met a young teen on social media was arrested after police said the two had sex, 24-Hour News 8’s news partner, the Daily Journal, reports.
Travis Johnson, 21, was arrested and charged with sexual misconduct with a minor. The girl was 13 when the two began corresponding on social media, and she was reportedly still very young when they had sex.
In an interview with police, Johnson said he believed the girl was 17 but then later said he knew she was underage, according to court documents.
Johnson was being held at the Johnson County Jail on $6,600 bond.
