2 in critical condition after car hits pole, overturns
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Two people were hospitalized Thursday night after a serious crash on the east side of Indianapolis.
It happened a little before 9 p.m. in the 7200 block of East 21st Street, which is near Interstate 465.
Officials say a grey Gran Marquis was heading eastbound on 21st St. when the vehicle left the road and overturned. The car sheared a power line pole and hit a grey Ford Expedition in a driveway.
One man was ejected from the vehicle. Emergency personnel transported him to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition. A woman in the car needed to be extricated. She was also transported to Eskenazi in critical condition.
IMPD is investigating the crash.
