Carpenter and Hildebrand ready for start from row 4

SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WISH) — Drivers Ed Carpenter and JR Hildebrand are ready to start the 99th Indianapolis 500 from row 4.

The drivers will be joined by Carlos Munoz.

Carpenter qualified with an average speed of 224.883, just a bit slower than Hildebrand’s 225.099.

Carpenter will be starting his twelfth consecutive 500. His best finish was fifth in 2008.

This is Hildebrand’s fifth Indianapolis 500. He finished second in his debut in 2011.
