Thousands flock to Indy zoo fundraiser
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The biggest black tie fundraiser in the state assembled in the walkways of the Indianapolis Zoo Friday.
Zoo supporters came out in suits and ballgowns to enjoy dancing, food and drink.
They also took in the dozens of exotic animal species.
This was the 29th year for the crucial fundraiser. The zoo raised more than $2 million with the event last year.
About 5,000 people attended Friday’s event at the zoo.
The weather was a serious concern for a time.
