Police search for woman who made 911 call

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Police in La Porte County are asking for the public’s help in finding a woman who made a 911 call

According to police, a woman made the distressed call from a Trac phone Friday afternoon from a Harley Davidson store asking for help.

After the operator attempted to ask the woman for further information, a man’s voice can be heard in the background followed by a loud disturbance.

Police believe the noise in the audio recording to be the phone being thrown from the vehicle.

After arriving on scene, police found the phone in the parking lot with no SIM card.

No surveillance video exists and there were no witnesses present at the time of the incident.

Police are asking anyone with information on this case to contact the La Porte County Sheriff’s Office at (219) 326-7700.
