One dead, one injured after crash in Tippecanoe Co.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Emergency crews are on the scene of a fatal crash in Tippecanoe County, that closed down Haggerty Lane until further notice.

Authorities confirm to WISH-TV’s sister station WLFI that a two-vehicle crash occurred just after 4 p.m. Friday on Haggerty Lane. The crash causes injuries to one driver and leaves another one dead at the scene.

The Tippecanoe County Coroner’s Office has been notified. The other driver was taken to IU Health Arnett with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

Police are continuing to investigate. They said no names will be released until family has been notified.

Lafayette police sent an advisory warning drivers that Haggerty Lane is closed between Veterans Memorial Parkway and County Road South 650 East. Police said drivers should seek an alternate route until further notice
