INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said that a man was shot at least twice in the hip on Sunday.
The shooting occurred in the 600 block of West Auburn Street. Police said the victim, whose name has not yet been released, drove to AutoZone in the 5000 block of West Washington Street.
The man was transported to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital and police said he’s now stable and is expected to live.
IMPD said the victim was only able to tell officers the person who shot him was a white male.
Police are continuing to search for the shooting suspect.
