Semi-rollover closes lanes in Putnam County
PUTNAM COUNTY,Ind. (WISH) – A semi hauling nearly 20,000 pounds of gravel overturned on US 40 near County Road 850.
According to Indiana State Police, the truck was traveling eastbound when a blown left front tire caused the accident.
The semi then proceeded to veer into the median before rolling over and sliding into the westbound lanes.
Both westbound lanes were temporarily shutdown, but have since opened.
The driver, who as wearing his seat belt at the time, only suffered minor injuries.
