Child hospitalized after being struck by motorist

COLUMBUS,Ind. (WISH) – One child was injured in a hit-and-run incident.

The 9-year-old, who was hit late Tuesday afternoon, was hospitalized for injuries sustained.

He was transported to Columbus Regional Hospital with injuries to his legs.

The young boy was riding his bike in the 2800 block of Scotland Drive in Columbus when he was struck.

Columbus Police say they are looking the driver of a blue SUV.

Police believe the suspect to have been driving a Chevrolet Blazer at the time of the incident.

The incident remains under investigation.
