INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Firefighters from three departments were called to the west side of Indianapolis early Thursday morning to battle a house fire.

It started shortly before 4 a.m. at Roena Street and Vandalia Avenue.

The Wayne Township Fire Department, Speedway Fire Department and Indianapolis Fire Department all responded to the scene.

Photos and video from Wayne Township showed heavy flames coming from the structure. Firefighters later said the house was vacant.

It’s unclear what sparked the fire, which was marked under control shortly before 5 a.m.
