2 canoers found after airboat, helicopter search in Morgan Co.
WAVERLY, Ind. (WISH) — Two canoers that went missing on the White River in Morgan County were located after authorities searched by airboat and helicopter.
Lindsey Smith, 33, of Morgan County, and her boyfriend, only identified as “Tony,” reportedly left the Henderson Ford public access ramp Saturday around 2 p.m.
After not showing up at the designated spot to be picked up, the IPL dam, DNR and Indiana State Police began a search.
The pair was found uninjured around 9 p.m. Sunday walking on private property near the IPL dam.
