Northern Indiana bear to be captured and moved
MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (WISH) – DNR officials announced Friday a new plan for a black bear that has been spotted in Northern Indiana.
Wildlife biologists have set a trap to catch the bear, in an undisclosed location.
On July 14, conservation officers received multiple bear sightings in the Motts Park-area of Michigan City.
Several residents reported seeing a bear rifling through trash and bird feeders near their homes.
The bear also was reported walking on porches and standing against patio doors.
