Back window shot out of IMPD squad car

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Bullets hit an IMPD squad car on the near northeast side of the city Saturday night, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

IMPD says the officer was driving in the 3200 block of Massachusetts Avenue when the vehicle’s back window was shot.

No one was injured.

Police could not immediately say how many bullets hit the vehicle.

A perimeter was set up and a search conducted, but no suspect was found.

As of late Saturday night, police did not have a suspect description.
