Exhibitors working to prepare for Gen Con

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Every inch of the Indianapolis Convention Center exhibit halls will be filled with 11,000 gaming events, swag to buy and more for Gen Con 2015.

Gen Con starts Thursday at 10 a.m. and runs until Sunday, Aug. 2.

Hundreds of exhibitors spent Thursday afternoon preparing for the rush of an estimated 60,000 people.

“I believe this year will be another record breaker. There are more booths, seminars, workshops and events, giving attendees even more to do,” said Visit Indy Vice President Chris Gahl.

Area hotels are sold out. Trendy restaurants nearby are booked solid.

Visit Indy estimates the biggest gaming conference in North America will equal a $67 million dollar economic impact.

Generic tickets are worth $2. Tickets are still available, click here for more information.

Georgia Street downtown will be closed during the whole show. Local food trucks and gaming station stops will be set up for fun outdoors.
